55th Division to link with 58th Division

After facing fierce resistance South of Chalai, the 55th division plans to avoid the coast by linking up with the 58th division North of PTK. Heavy fighting was reported yesterday in the area marked by a red circle. Though the army had claimed to be fighting in Palamattalan, our reports indicate they have not been able to cross the natural water inlet at Chalai, and have been calling in air strikes against the opposite shore for the last few days.

'Let civilians go' says UN Secretary General to LTTE
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon Friday (March 6) called on the LTTE to remove its weapons and fighters from areas of civilian concentration to cooperate in all humanitarian efforts calculated to relieve the suffering of civilians and to immediately cease recruitment of children.

The statement: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon is extremely concerned over the deteriorating situation for civilians trapped in Northern Sri Lanka.

He strongly deplores the mounting death toll of civilians in the area of fighting, including a significant number of children.

There is an urgent need to bring this conflict to a speedy end without further loss of civilian life.

In this respect, the Secretary-General renews his call to the Government of Sri Lanka and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) to suspend hostilities for the purposes of allowing civilians to leave the conflict zone and allowing immediate humanitarian access to them.

The Secretary-General calls on the LTTE to remove its weapons and fighters from areas of civilian concentration, to cooperate in all humanitarian efforts calculated to relieve the suffering of civilians and to immediately cease recruitment of children.

The Secretary-General strongly urges the Government to begin serious efforts to resolve the underlying causes of conflict, the spokesperson added."

To change the attention of LTTP supporters & DISAPPORRA you quicky post another comment as Heavy fighting in Mankulam.

You suddenly posted this because LTTP's Black Tigers attack on 55th division was completed beaten by SLA.

You show a video with 6 bodies and claim you killed 100 LTTE. But there are only supposed to be 400 LTTE left, so now it must be down to 300 by your calculations.

It took you 2 days to make this video, because you needed to clear your own dead bodies out of view before filming.
