The end results of war

What the Sri Lankan government fails to understand is that technology is advancing daily, and it is only a matter of months or years before nuclear devices become available to suppressed people around the world. If the Sri Lankan government chooses not to settle this dispute peacefully they will create hatred amongst the Tamil people , resulting in future rebels, and as technology becomes available it is inevitable that Colombo will face a terrible technological attack one day.

Colombo is located just a few dozen kilometers from Tamil Nadu. It would not be difficult for a terrorist to fly a plane over Colombo and detonate a nuclear device. But this is what the Sri Lankan government is inevitably bringing to their people. By trying to destroy the LTTE, who are actually synonymous with the Tamil people, they are creating hatred amongst the future Tamil generations. As time goes on, and technology advances, the inevitable result will be the first nuclear terrorist attack in the world over Colombo. This is the reasonable projection as you map the future increases of hatred and technological advancement.

Such a terrorist strike does not require an organization or a rebel movement. It simply requires a single person filled with hatred nurtured by suppression and violence perpetrated against an innocent race. This is not a threat or a warning, but a prophecy. Unless the Sri Lankan government negotiates a peaceful conclusion to this war, there will inevitably be a bleak and dark future for the people of Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lankan government views Prabhakaran as their greatest enemy, but they don't realize he is actually their greatest friend. It is because of the presence of Prabhakaran that there is order to the chaos in Sri Lanka. He brings complete discipline and one-mindedness to the Tamil fighters, which enables the Sri Lankan government to negotiate with a single entity. Without a central leader the rebel movements will split up, giving freedom to hardliners and fanatics. Even though the government tries to project Prabhakaran as a blood thirsty terrorist, the facts are he has for the most part avoided targeting Sinhalese civilians in the last decade. For example, the LTTE could easily have exploded tank bunds across the country in hundreds of Sinhalese villages resulting in tens of thousands of deaths. The LTTE could easily have targeted unprotected Sinhalese villages throughout the country, but they haven't. The LTTE could have easily targetted commericial international aircraft, but they haven't. In otherwords the LTTE could have actually been the terrorists that the government accuses them of being, but they chose not too because their leader had a different vision.

If the LTTE were to lose that sole leader, it is inevitable that there will be all sorts of splinter groups forming, some of which will be fanatically terroristic and wanting to take revenge against the Sinhalese people. In that situation there will be no one to negotiate with to bring about a peace between the Tamils and Sinhalese. We can see the example of Palestine and Israel. Despite negotiating ceasefires with the supposed "leaders" in palestine, still missiles are fired daily into Israel because there is no absolute leader amongst the palestinian resistance groups. This allows the fanatical elements amongst them to act without any checks or balances. In this context, Prabhakaran is actually the best thing there is for Sri Lanka, because he commands absolutely discipline from his followers and provides a single point of negotiations for the Sri Lankan government with the Tamil people.

I am sorry dear editor, but your article is simply stupid!!!

1. Threat of a nuclear bomb by free radical! Then my friend the whole world is fucked! Free radical Islamic militants will invariably attack Delhi, Karachi, Islamabad, DC, NYC, London Istanbul etc. Every single country should compromise with terrorists just in case they attack with a nuclear weapon. Why would Colombo be any more or less of a target? The world is full of crazy nuts!

2. “facts are he (VP) has for the most part avoided targeting Sinhalese civilians”!!!! HA???? Is this some sort of selective amnesia?
Here are some examples just to jog your memory!!
Kebithigollewa massacre June 15, 2006
Gonagala massacre September 18, 1999
Dehiwala train bombing July 24, 1996
Central Bank bombing January 31, 1996
Eastern Sri Lanka massacres October 16, 1995
Kallarawa massacre May 25, 1995
Palliyagodella massacre October 15, 1991
Kattankudi mosque massacre August 4, 1990
Aranthalawa Massacre July 02, 1987
Habarana bus massacre April 17, 1987
Anuradhapura massacre May 14, 1985
Kent and Dollar Farm massacres November 30, 1984

3. “The LTTE could have easily targetted commericial international aircraft” what did they destroy when they attacked the Katunayake airport? Most of the Sri Lankan airlines fleet was destroyed!!

4. The dynamic between Palestine and Israel is completely different, furthermore Tel Aviv does not have a 50% Palestinian population, nor does Sri Lanka bulldoze and clear Tamil areas to build Sinhala only settlement, In fact there is not a single city in Sri Lanka of a decent size without a significant Tamil population. Most of them want to live without war and in peace and without VP and the LTTE they can seize the opportunity to do so. Your comparison only shows your stupefying ignorance.

Below is the disclaimer Badrinath operates under.

--- "Puligal Today is not connected in any way with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. It is an independent news journal containing articles written primarily by the editor on the topic of the Sri Lankan civil war. If you are from the FBI or CIA, please go back to looking for Osama Bin Laden, there are no terrorists to be found here" ----

BULLSHIT!

However, the website is called puligal today, in other words "tiger today" and he displays the very same flag LTTE flies (the red flag with a tiger in the middle and two guns in a X position) over their territory.

The editor advocates for violence against people by the LTTE and their supporters. The editor in his last article threaten Sri Lanka with a nuclear bomb. FBI, CIA please note. This editor is very much a LTTE terrorist and he maybe operating within your jurisdiction...

Dear Badrinath,

I agree with most of your points except for this part: "...the facts are he has for the most part avoided targeting Sinhalese civilians in the last decade...The LTTE could easily have targeted unprotected Sinhalese villages throughout the country, but they haven't. The LTTE could have easily targetted commericial international aircraft, but they haven't. In otherwords the LTTE could have actually been the terrorists that the government accuses them of being, but they chose not too because their leader had a different vision."

The LTTE have had their own share of attacks on Singhala civilians. They have had their own share of attacking economic and civilian targets. However, they view these attacks as a necessary evil to put pressure on the system of the Sri Lankan state to actually resolve this ethnic conflict and stop the intransigence to redress the Tamil people's grievances and meet them halfway on their legitimate aspirations. These attacks also serve the purpose of sending messages to the Singhala people and giving a hint of what the Tamil people have gone through for the last 61 years. The LTTE may be ruthless, but their brutality pales in comparison to what the Sri Lankan Tamils have suffered during the last 26 years of Civil War at the hands of the Sri Lankan state and their aligned paramilitaries. The suffering between the Singhala and Tamil people is disproportionate, with the latter going through a lot more than the former. I do agree with Badrinath that the LTTE could do A LOT more damage if they had so desired, but they do not want to maximize civilian casualties for obvious reasons.

Dear anonymous person who says:

"The editor advocates for violence against people by the LTTE and their supporters."

We have never advocated violence against anyone, and we always support efforts for peace in Sri Lanka. We have given our opinion that violence WILL OCCUR. This is common sense, and anyone can "predict" this obvious future. The Sri Lankan government has killed thousands of innocent civilians, and there will be hundreds of thousands of people who want revenge against them. Terrorist ability is increasing each year, and it is only a matter of time before they come up with new attacks, either chemical, nuclear or biological.

If a crazy Japanese cult can get their hands on chemical weapons, do you think terrorists can't? An organized and disciplined group like LTTE, which wanted to project itself as a legitimate government, must follow certain rules of engagement. But if that organization is removed, the terrorists that will take their place will have no "laws" they need to follow. They will increasingly target civilians, and resort to terrible methods such as poisoning food supplies, use of chemical weapons, and one day the use of a nuclear device.

The United States is already very worried that Muslim terrorists have been working on getting nuclear devices. Everyone knows it is only a matter of time before this occurs, and the one who does it will be the one who wants it most - i.e. the one who has suffered the most. So the government has the power to decide whether Tamils will be in that category. The more the kill them, the closer they get.

Yeah since SLA di..s are much bigger than those of LTTE's I'm sure tamil women feel pain. but then again they get more pleasure too..
So I don't think they're complaining.
Ofcourse for LTTE guys (like Ruban) it's a big problem 'cos no tamil woman wants to f.ck them anymore. Hence the frustration. So they become gay as evident from the totally gay picture taken with VP...

It doesn't have to be nuclear weapon that will cause panic amongst the SLA in the near future. Let's just say for example, that the SLA president does achieve what he wants and fully destroys the Tamils out of their will, do you SLAs for once think that there wouldn't be any violence after it's all over. SLA's won't be able to live peacefully for the rest of their live. Everyone SLA will have to look over their back when they walk. All the young Tamils will be disturbed by the fact that their own country destroyed their people, which will cause them to think some bad things. This is not a threat. This is a fact that the President and you guys should think of. When i say young tamils, they don't have to be Tigers to do it, it can be an average Tamil person just like me.

Good article, but riddled with errors. The biggest error of judgment is thinking that the LTTE is going to survive after Piriba. Piriba has done a great favor to the GOSL by killing off other strong racist-separatist Tamil leaders within and outside the LTTE organization structure.
The ones going to be left are either moderate leaders who want to live in peace with Sinhalese - or sub-intelligent LTTE monkeys capable for mounting occasional attacks on civilians. The support structure and overseas funding will break down. There will be a lot of infighting. So my friend, sorry to say, there won't be anyone left to organize a nuclear attack that you desire.

This is an example of how LTTP supporters & Diasporra screwing up Tamil Civillians and society in TN.

{{{"Please tell us how do we protect courts"?
Unruly behavior often accompanied by violence as resorted to by "mobs" has been increasing in recent times not only in Tamil Nadu but also in Patna. What has caused the greatest concern among the highest in the Judiciary is that violence has now reached the hallowed and "sacred" "Halls of Justice" in Tamil Nadu . This concern as has been echoed by a three judge Bench of Justices B.N.Aggrawal, G.S.Singhvi and Aftab Alam in a statement almost amounting to despair. The three judge Bench of Justices stated : " Please tell us how do we protect the courts ? We have instances where some people barge in and raise slogans in courts as it happened in Patna and Madras High Court" ("The Hindu" , 20th February ). Such unruly behavior is usually associated with "goondas" and criminals but not among members of legal profession . It is reported in the media of instances of unruly behavior and violence involving lawyers including Advocates who are accepted as being learned in the law and familiar with court procedures.

According to "The Hindu", Senior Counsel Harish Salve, a former teacher at the National Law School had filed a petition regarding the "boycott" of lawyers stating that "advocates in Tamil Nadu frequently went on strike paralyzing the Madras High Court , its Madurai Bench and District Courts". Lawyers had attended Courts only for nine days during the year 2009. He also noted "the increasing trend of politicization of the Bar and increasing violent tendencies had crept in". He added: "recently advocates hijacked a bus "and taken it to Shastri Bhavan at Nungambakkan to protest against the self immolation of a youth in support of Tamil civilians in Sri Lanka". Another matter of serious concern is that "despite the Apex court judgment declaring the strike by lawyers illegal, there had been frequent strikes in Tamil Nadu ..." .The media reported (20), that yesterday (19) there was "unprecedented violence on the Madras High Court premises " when protesting advocates "fought pitched battles with police personnel for several hours". The "Hindustan Times" (20) reported that "Lawyers sympathetic to the Tamil Tigers had earlier "hurled rotten eggs at Swamy inside the Madras High Court in the presence of the judges and shouted anti- India slogans" and pelted stones at the police for "over two hours" . Justice Arumuga Perumal Aditiyan had suffered a head injury . Reports indicate that the lawyers oppose Dr. Swamy for his anti- LTTE stance and observers said the events hade been sparked off after Dr Subramaniam Swamy was assaulted the previous day inside Madras High Court. This trend to use violence by lawyers if not stopped now, could be dangerous.

The Courts of Law guarantee impartiality for citizen seeking justice in the redress of grievances. If as alleged, Lawyers including advocates resorted to unruly behavior and violence within the "Halls of Justice" in the presence of Judges only demonstrates an unacceptable level of discipline which prevails in the State. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M.K.Karunanidhi stated : " Unprecedented violence has taken place" in the Courts . Political analysts and security officials have expressed concern regarding the increasing violence prevailing in Tamil Nadu. They noted that the Lawyers should have been aware that the LTTE has been banned as a terrorist organization since May 1992 consequent to the killing of the former Indian prime minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi on 21st May 1991 in the Siriperumbudur in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu . The ban has since been extended every two years.

The Revenge of the Dead Praba...(Prequel to The End Results of War)

The year was 2009, the year of the Rajapaksha. The LTTE was facing the most daunting of tasks that it had ever faced. Cornered to a <100 sq. Km area, surrounded by 50,000 troops, they needed a way out of this mess, and they needed to find that way fast. And with time running out Praba (aka The Sun God © ) set in motion the greatest plan since bread came sliced.

He ordered 1000 of his best units, to infiltrate the naval sea cordon. The last submarine which the LTTE had was used for this task. Two long ropes were tied to the submarine and 500 tigers each grabbed on to the rope. And under the 4 layered naval cordon, they silently slithered away.

Where they were headed was till then a top secret. It was on a book that The Sun God read some time back, about the lost civilization of Atlantis and the about the secret weapon The Thunderbolt of Zeus. And with his ingenious brain© the Sun God went ahead with the most ingenious of plans to wipe the Singhalams from his Home Land ® and stop the sinhala genocide ®.

The commandos of the Deep Underwater Naval Group (DUNG), after their daring infiltration, made straight to the location of Atlantis, the lost civilisation. After many days of searching one of the Lt.Colnels(all 1000 were Lt.Colnels btw) found the mystical weapon, The ThunderBolt of Zeus. And with this priced possession with them they made their way back underwater through the naval cordon and presented the Sun God with the item.

And with that, a new chapter of the Tamil Struggle ® begun.....

(story will be continued by Badri in his next post)

All along, though we knew that SLA was inching towards achieving their goal and LTTE was slowly lossing their sheen, still there was a thought that the end was not so near as GoSL predicted.
But this post of yours prooves and gives credibility that the end is indeed near and much nearer than we thought.
What a collosal fall it has been.Maybe for argument sake lets consider the LTTE fought for a cause, but somewhere down the line they made some serious strategical mistakes and are paying the price for it.Its a known fact that VP himself takes all decisions and hence seems he has also lead the very same people he wanted to protect to their doom.So sad.

What Badrinath says can't be ruled out here. Whoever saw the carnage inflicted by SLA against innocent kids and women may tend to fall in the group which author mentioned here. For me, nuking Colombo or any Sinhala city is out of the question. I do believe Sinhalese people are compassionate ones for most part but only their leaders make them as worst ones. If they get moderate leader who has balls, SL may have future. What matters in this hour is that whoever has access to resources which can kill three criminals- MR,GR, and SF - should go ahead with that.

LTTE hasn't showed up in the past that it can protect Wanni people as SLDF routed them from Mannar to Kili, so you, Badrinath, think that they can protect PTK from SLA now? If they think that they can't protect it, it's better to withdraw from PTK. The news coming out of Wanni will dishearten anyone as even the patients are forced to have surgeries without anesthesia due to shortage of medical supplies, so the makeshift hospital is echoing with full of cries.

If there is no imminent counter attack from LTTE in any time soon, i would say that they should withdraw.

Editor: "Badrinath" said...

The fact that the planes were able to take off and fly all the way to Colombo , and the fact that boats have been making it through the naval cordon at will, show Prabhakaran could have left any time he wanted. The fact that he has chosen to remain in PTK means either 1) he thinks he can defend it, or 2) he wants to become a martyr for the purpose of Eelam. It may be that he feels the international community will not accept an independent Eelam with himself as its leader, so he is willing to martyr himself so that Eelam can be formed. Or he may feel he can defend PTK and hold back the Sri Lankan army. Only time will tell us, but the numbers are very much stacked against them.

From a strategical perspective I feel he should have vacated PTK with all of the leaders and regrouped for guerilla fighting. With the Sri Lankan army extremely overstretched the LTTE could have waited them out till their funding crumbled.

For whatever reason, it appears Prabhakaran wants to stand and fight this final battle till the end. As of now he has not brought civilians to fight, and he may choose to leave them out of it. Again, we will have to wait and see what his plans are.

Editor: "Badrinath" said...

As far as the future goes, remember Prabhakaran had the intelligence and patience to send one of his sons to study aeronatical engineering so that he would eventually create the LTTE airforce. I would not doubt that some Tamil children will grow up studying nuclear physics and working in nuclear plants in India with a plan to create weapons of mass destruction to get revenge against the Sinhalese. The U.S. already accepts that it is only a matter of time till Muslim terrorists use a nuclear device against western countries. Times are changing, and the victims will wield a power that no one could have dreamt.

The solution is to bring about peace before these people are victimized, but I don't see any signs of peace in Sri Lanka.

Badrinath you said,

"The solution is to bring about peace before these people are victimized, but I don't see any signs of peace in Sri Lanka."

The whole of Sri Lanka including the Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims have been a victim for more decades now. I'm sure you wouldn’t know because you live in a western country with all the mod cons and luxury. Judging by your utterances it certain that you have no clue of what Tamils feel in the rest of Sri Lanka. You like most of the Tamils who managed to gain asylum in the west are hell bent on death and destruction all in the name of revenge for 1983. Even though 1983 and all the hell that broke loose is widely criticized by almost all Sri Lankans, Sinhalese, Muslims alike. However what amazes me is how far you will go to achieve your revenge.

In all honesty even in peaceful nations there is always a threat of some nut case going berserk. Watch Michael Moors documentaries such as Farenheith 9/11 and Bowling for Columbine where he talks about Columbine shooting and Oklahoma bombing to name a few examples. These acts were carried out by nut cases and I am sure the LTTE is full of nut cases like you who will, given the opportunity be able to plan and carry out a nuclear attack too.

I am certain that you will not flinch about the fact that the 2001 census shows the Sri Lankan Tamil population in the Colombo Municipal Council limits as 29.7%, almost one third the population of the capital city. Some of them I know very well are far from impressed to be collateral damage in your grand design.
Your statement, "I would not doubt that some Tamil children will grow up studying nuclear physics and working in nuclear plants in India with a plan to create weapons of mass destruction to get revenge against the Sinhalese." in my opinion is not only providing a repulsive idea for mass destruction but also showing a way to achieve it. I think you should be arrested and prosecuted immediately under the terrorism laws that prevail where you are living as you have in sighted mass murder.

This also proves the psyche of the LTTE, one that VP has no doubt fostered which is that the end justifies the means. Hence lives of innocents including Tamils (be it via a nuclear attack on Colombo or a shooting/bombing fleeing innocents from Purthukkudiyirippu) is a worth while sacrifice to attain your goal of revenge.

I think you should stop and think what a deluded madness you and your supporters have become. You actions have ruined almost every chance for all poor Sri Lankans specially the Sri Lankan Tamils to have any progress in their lives. In fact they have only regressed. The billions you have invested on revenge could have been used on education, health and all those simple things which could have nurtured the young ones to prosper. As you already know, if you have money you could control most things in life. Did you really need this illusion of an eelam land to achieve success for your people? All the hard earned money you provided made greedy arms dealers in the west very rich whilst your poor kids are worse off than when it all began. Surely you must realize this. At least prior to 1983 there were many bright Tamils proudly passing out of local universities. Most of the older Tamil generation I met in western cities are very much educated and hold no less than a bachelors degree from Sri Lanka and worked in the most prestigious institutions. How many Tamils pass out of universities today? How many hold good positions in Sri Lanka? At least now its time to get behind the poor and use your resources including time and money for a good cause. Instead of showing your symbolic representations of peace and love through a flag (even though the authorities you are trying to hood wink are not babies), help the poor they will never forget you and be always grateful! Forget about revenge. Leave it to God!

It's ok Badri, go ahead and do whatever you want, no need to justify them. Since you guys will never get an Eelam for sure, we'll let you have an 'imaginary' Eelam in cyberspace so that you and all die-ass-pora can be happy and proud in this imaginary world.
Imagination is a good thing I suppose and nobody will distrub you there. Had you guys stuck to this plan from the begining (instead of asking for a 'Real" Eelam, poor Tamils in North and East would have been spared of a lot of misery.
That's fine, let by gones be by gones and long live Badri's "Imaginary Eelaam of Cyberspace"

When i say young tamils, they don't have to be Tigers to do it, it can be an average Tamil person just like me."

Everyone in Sri Lanka, including Sihalese, Tamils, Muslims, Berger, Malays and the lot have NOT been livin in peace since your moron fat pig VP took up arms. They have been looking over their back every time they step out of the house. Even when inside the house. Are you any better than before this whole mess began ? Because of this morons actions you the average Tamil is much worse off. All that billions spent on flying tin cans you used to call the Tiger Air Force and the sophisticated weapons that the Tigers had couldve bought you the average Tamil in Sri Lanka a real future in terms of education and hope. If there is any group you want to blame it should be your brothers and sisters living overseas who are spending the money on war instead.

Everyone is trying to bottle him(Badrinath) up for the LTTE flag he putting here. Whether you like it or not, all Tamils see LTTE as their guardian. Until unless you find an acceptable political solutions for Tamils, all Srilankans will continue to face the nightmares years to come.

What author said is correct in a way that the emotionally weaker ones who saw the evil acts inflicted on the Wanni Tamils may tend take the drastic decisions on their own if they have access to any form of tools which can harm heavily Sinhalese, including WMD. You do not need to be a nuclear scientist to get into the ranks of any organization and steal the WMD, obviously the former USSR states where nuclear arsenals are in danger of getting into the wrong hands. If the victim is hellbent on getting the WMD, the chances for success will be higher down the stretch that what it is today.

LTTE stands for peace?! What kind of weed do you smoke? Where can I get hold of some of what you're smoking?!

Red LTTE flag is the most visible symbol of terrorists' operation of their own people, countless amounts of Human rights violations against children & women, grand scale financial fraud, sale / distribution of illegal narcotics, co-operation with other lunatic terrorists such as Islamic whack-jobs, Geneva convention violations, pretty much everything EVIL. It's the Anti-thesis of everything GOOD.

Mr. Editor, please don't try to down play that fact you're a whack job terrorists just like your friends in IRAQ and Afghanistan. I hope you along with your terrorists friends of all kinds including the LTTE die and end up ETERNAL HELL with Satan! If you need some help getting to hell let our Army know. They'll be more than happy to help y'all make your journey.

Well written article. However, it must be noted that several singala dickwads are barking about 'massacres' that have soo very documentation or proof behind them. For the very same reasons, most of these 'massacres' are done by the sla themselves or under the guise of one of their pet groups aka karuna/pillaiyaan.
For as long 'srilanka' got its independence from the brits and ever since the name was changed from Ceylon to 'srilanka', the Tamils have been suffering under the oppression of the majority singalese. I agree not all singalese are in terms with what the govt is doing.. but hey, if 'srilanka' IS a DEMOCRACY.. then the vast populous voted them into power ( or vote rigging? ).

The war is definitely not over, nor has it even start for the Tigers have yet to do a substantial counter attack. Most of the singala populous is partying in their 'successes' of walking into empty towns capturing nothing but dust bunnies and artillery cannons that the Tigers bury underground so that everytime they need to fire shells they dig them all out..then connect them together.. parts by parts when they can usually tow them on a truck or something but no..Tigers prefer to bury them.. right?

Let us remember as always, every reaction has an equal and opposite reaction. 2 and a half years all the Tigers have been doing is defending and withdrawing. And in those 2 and a half years i bet they have been planning several military procedures. Dont get blinded by ignorance. When the fight comes to the sla, its gonna pretty darn nastyy.

Viva la Eelam! Fuck Da SLA.

@ Bhairav:

Why are you so stupid? Why do you assume ALL thamils see LTTE as their guardian? Why do you lump all tamils as one and discard the amazing diversity amongst thamil people?

LTTE is not the sole rep of Tamils, we've already established this. There's TVMP (both factions), EPDP, Anandasagee and the countless amount of Thamil leaders and political parties that have a HUGE following. LTTE folks are SCUM. The bottom of the barrel with no culture, manners or any civilization. Regular innocent thamil people have a long & a proud history (I think of KING ELARA), distinguished culture, and a heritage.

So you don't sit there and insult us with you BULLSHI "LTTE is the guardian / sole rep of Thamils"

If you had not killed Dr. Kadhiragar and/or Jeyraj Fernandopulle, one or both of them would have been the PRIME MINISTER or even PRESIDENT of Sri Lanka, for sure. We could have had OUR own "Obama" story. But you assholes destroyed that for us. Let's hope another strong Thamil leader emerges to unite Sri Lanka like both of those distinguished gentlemen did.

Unknown said...

@ ReJLoRd:

ReJLoRd said "Let us remember as always, every reaction has an equal and opposite reaction"

What the LTTE is currently experiencing IS THE REACTION for LTTE's action, only it is not equal but overwhelming for the terrorists. This is the reaction of the people (Thamil, Sinhalese, Muslim, Burgher, Malay and other) to LTTE atrocities (actions) over the past 30 years.

Every action does have an opposite and equal re-action, true. But that theory of Newton NEVER said every action has an opposite and equal reaction and another REACTION to the previous reaction. So with our REACTION this cycle appears to be COMPLETE!!!

senthan,

You said "Whether you like it or not, all Tamils see LTTE as their guardian."

Average tamil who suffers daily due to your madness would certainly disagree. These prominent tamils who you managed to wipe out would too;

http://www.spur.asn.au/prominent_tamil_leaders_killed.htm

Read the advise above from an Anonymous writer above who says; "2001 census shows the Sri Lankan Tamil population in the Colombo Municipal Council limits as 29.7%, almost one third the population of the capital city." I’m sure they are eagerly waiting for your contribution to man kind in the form of a WMD. You are such a sore loser. You had your day to fight, you ran overseas instead and your fat ass fuck lost it all. Including all the money you sent. Now all you can think of is WMD? You wish don’t you? The authorities have been alerted. you and your badrinai watch your back for these highly inflammatory comments and genocidal suggestions you are making.

FBI, CIA and other Law enforcement agencies please watch this blog and the owner and his supports. They're treating to acquire WMDs, and the really mean, nasty weapons. As you probably already know these terrorists talk to the terrorists and cooperate with the ones that threaten the US / West. You guys may want some pay some attention to these folks, especially the editor. They maybe operating in your jurisdiction.

Ok, let's just cut the crap and see the options available for different types of Tamils here;

Options for LTTP Cadres & Eeelamists
1. Go to frontline as cannon fodder & die at the hands of SLA

2. Go as suicide bombers as die either alone (like the pilot who fell at katunayake) or with a couple of innocent civilians (like the one at Intland revenue building)

3. Burn yourself and die (you call it some self immolation or some crap, but in reality it's just a rehersal for the burining they gonna get at hell)

Options for Tamil Civilans
Integrate within a united Sri Lanka and live peacefully.

Oh yeah, meanwhile the diaspora have the additional option of dreaming of a counterattack that never happens and sending money to 'boys' till either money or boys (maybe both) run out

A Tamil from India and support from Eelam tamil today have set the marker by winning 2 oscars. Massive victory for what could be achieved if the people of eelam are left to their own country without be stuck in an unwanted and unwarrented federation by the british.

Paper planes would have won the oscar had it not be composed in MIA own. It was however a runner for the grammys. All the corruption and lack of any politician till today willing to take responsibility for the corruption, mismanagement etc.

Even the mission to the moon is headed by an Indian tamil. Likewise was the space program. As much as the northerners say, when the real test comes they know who to put infront. Even the same for your test matches usin murali.

The eelam people are sucessful in Singapore, Malaysia and the rest of the world. Your people forever blame everyone else but yourself for your situation. You can dream in and dream as much as you want but, the thousands who returned unemployed in the comming months will have no choice but to join the army to die.

As all Eelamists seem to agree that Tamils are making good contributions in countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, India etc. perhaps this shows that Tamils are at their best when they serve others.
Only in Sri Lanka they ask for a seperate country of their own and they seem to be pretty pathetic in Sri Lanka.
Maybe this is not a coincidence.

Hear it from your own Tamil brothers and sisters. But I don't think anything short of a lobotomy will help you monkeys that still support the LTTE.

Editor: "Badrinath" said...

It is unfortunate that Sinhalese refer to anyone as a terrorist who disagrees with their views. Anyone who simply believes the Tamils should have an independent homeland is a terrorist to them, even if they never advocate for violence. Anyone who offers an opinion that projects a negative future for Sri Lanka is a "terrorist". Anyone who voices his opinion at all that is not in line with the Rajapaksa brothers is a "terrorist".

Lucky for the world that most countries value freedom of speech and allow people to speak their beliefs without fear. All of the accusations that people here are terrorists are a joke. Just because people disagree with you, you want to label them as terrorists. This is another reason Sinhalese will never get along with the Tamils in the North. You are quick to label them and then call for blood, just like you did against the press and against the ICRC.

If blacks in America could go from slaves to equals in 100 years, then it is possible for Tamils to get justice in Sri Lanka, but only if Sinhalese drastically change and speak out against the discrimination. Up till now that is not happening, so I don't see any hope for peace in Sri Lanka.

Anonymous said...

'Badrinath' fuckwit, before Sinhalese speak out against discrimination, can you please list what 'discrimination' Tamils face that Sinhalese don't?

Editor: "Badrinath" said...

I would like to further clarify that I have never called for attacks against Sri Lanka, what to speak of nuclear attacks. I did give my opinion that the government's policy of killing civilians will result in an increase in hate amongst the Tamils, which will lead one day to terrible attacks against Colombo, such as nuclear attacks. It is not that I condone it or hope for it, just that I think it will happen unless there is a negotiated settlement in which both sides come away happy.

I hope there will be peace in Sri Lanka, but I don't believe there can be peace by trying to destroy the LTTE. You need to negotiate and leave the table with both sides satisfied for there to be long term peace. The Sri Lankan government appears to be foolish in my view, as they now have avery strong bargaining chip that they could use to end this war. The LTTE would probably settle for much less at the present moment (a federal state), which would leave Sri Lanka as a single country. But the Sri Lankan government is being stubborn, just as the LTTE was stubborn 10 years before when they had the upper hand.

Anonymous said...

Thanks 'Badrinath' for confirming that he can't pin point any discrimination against Tamils. When this question is asked directly these spin doctors have no answer. To be fair 'Badrinath' probably some high-school dropout who has never been to Sri Lanka, getting his drug-running money from his LTTE handlers.
I think he doesn't understand what 'discrimination' means, so he has to go all the way back to 1983, forgetting the massacres of innocent Sinhala and Muslim villagers by the LTTE.
Fool, if you don't know what you are talking about, keep your mouth shut, without exhibiting your stupidity for everyone to see.

Reporting from Kuliyapitiya, Sri Lanka -- The white tattered strips line the main road to Kuliyapitiya, hanging off telephone poles and fence posts, each one signifying another funeral, another loss, another hole punched in the heart of a family. A few miles away, in the center of town, ribbons of another sort decorate the chest of a commando at a recruiting post working to impress a group of teenage boys.

A recent surge by the Sri Lankan army, boosted by an aggressive expansion of its forces, has prompted the government to predict that victory is just around the corner in its 25-year war with the Tamil Tiger rebels who have sought to carve out a homeland in the north and east of this island nation.

Amid the rising euphoria, however, some question whether these hardened fighters will go away that easily, whether the human toll will really end, whether the white ribbons will stop fluttering at every turn.

Sri Lanka has paid a huge price, in economic loss, social and political strain, destroyed infrastructure and human lives, for its long civil war. Almost everyone in this nation of 20 million has been touched.

But it's the rice- and coconut-growing areas such as Kuliyapitiya district with its 150,000 population that have paid the highest toll. The government's all-volunteer army has found fertile ground for recruiting in rural areas where job prospects are limited and the army offers adventure, a uniform and a decent paycheck of about $200 a month. "Join the winning side," says a nationwide radio advertisement.

Recently, funerals in these parts have been running about two or three a week, said Chandana Bulathsinhala, an aide to the local opposition lawmaker, adding steadily, relentlessly, to the area's estimated 5,000 casualties since the war's inception -- a staggering one in 30 people.

Bulathsinhala estimates that 99% of the recruits sign up for economic reasons, with many schoolchildren now wanting to be soldiers rather than doctors or lawyers.

"War is always cruel, but the media has promoted good war news, so more people are encouraged to join," he said.

As families in the community confront the human toll, the war machine continues to draw in new recruits. At the Kuliyapitiya Urban Council complex in town, a bus ringed with loudspeakers and posters of fighting men lures new enthusiasts.

"When you come to the interview, bring your stuff and be ready to go," advises a nearby poster showing a soldier in a Rambo-style pose.

A few miles away, Kusuma Gunawardana sits on a hard bed trying to make sense of it all, a cat curled at her side, tears running down her worn face. Her son, a soldier in the Sri Lankan army, has been missing since mid-January. Nationwide, the missing number in the thousands, the result of desertions, front lines that have shifted repeatedly and dense jungle that can decompose a body in rapid order.

Nor is she sure she can believe what the government news channels say. Her older son, also in the army, told her the situation is often significantly different from the rosy images beamed on the channels. She just wants her family back. "I can't think about what happened to my son," she said. "I believe he's still alive."

Down the road, Jayantha Perera, 33, has doubts about a quick end to the war, but for different reasons. It's been going on so long that to him the wrapping-up seems too fantastic. As he talks in a living room decorated with a military calendar and the family's foot-powered sewing machine, he remembers the pride he felt when his older brother Samantha left for the war.

Samantha hasn't been heard from in more than a decade and is presumed dead, one of the 4,000 soldiers and 12,000 Sri Lankan civilians and fighters with the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam missing in the war, according to estimates by the Assn. of War Affected Women, a civic group based in the city of Kandy.

As he talks, Perera's aging father suddenly erupts into a wail of grief. It happens two or three times a day, Perera says; he's been on a downward slide since his son's disappearance. The family no longer keeps pictures of Samantha around, except for one fading shot of his regiment, to avoid upsetting his father even more.

Farther down the back roads of the community, posters glorify those who died as placards urge citizens to donate blood, using pictures of neighbors who have already signed up and shipped out as an incentive. "Brother you have not died, you bloom as a flower among us," reads a poster marking the death of a commando who died recently at Elephant Pass.

A few feet from the commando with a chestful of ribbons, Koolitha Manchanayaka, 19, waits by the recruiting bus talking to friends after signing up. The teenager is accompanied by his father and a cousin and is ready to fulfill a dream he's had since he was 17.

His parents were reluctant to let him go, he said, but he eventually persuaded them after promising to be careful. For added security, he wears a pirith cord, a string worn around the wrist, blessed by monks at a nearby Buddhist temple.

Sure, there is a risk that he will be captured or killed, he said. "It could happen to anyone, but I'm not scared," he said, his eyes alight with excitement. "This is the right time to go. If I'm not involved at this decisive time, there's no point."

The military added 40,000 recruits in each of the last two years, said Brig. Udaya Nanayakkara, a military spokesman, to reach the current 180,000 level for the armed forces.

Those with missing family members receive a death settlement after one year of about $750 for single soldiers and $1,500 for married, along with other pension and insurance payouts.

Laborer K.G. Salen Fernando, 63, of Galkapuyaya village, said his family didn't receive anything from the government when his son disappeared 17 years ago.

A decade or so back, the family finally conceded that their boy wasn't coming back, he said. But without ever seeing his body, the realization was very difficult to accept. "He died for the sake of the country, so I'm proud," the father said, through a toothless jaw. "But they didn't even give us 5 cents. We'd be happy if they paid us something."

Visaka Dharmadasa, the founder of the Assn. of War Affected Women, said the disappearance of one of her sons eight years ago was the catalyst for starting the group, which aims to make the government and the International Committee of the Red Cross more accountable on MIA issues.

The association now numbers 2,000 members. Even though it's been nearly a decade since she last saw her missing son, she said she still waits expectantly. "There's always hope," she said. "It's not going to help anyone when you deny the existence of a person."

Gunawardana's agony is still fresh, as she reflects on Tamil mothers on the other side who must be experiencing some of the same pain.

"In the north, they're going through the same suffering we have," she said. "We are running out of boys in this country. We don't need a war with the north to lose more children."

It was Thamil Chelvam and Bala who insisted that their power to negotiate comes from miliatry strenght (or partity as they claimed). Now that LTTE has lost it's military strenghth I am sure Bala himslef would have agreed that no point in talking to a loser!
